David Turk is the founder and president of Indiana Market & Catering, a full-service caterer in New York City.

Over the past 30 years, David’s leadership has made Indiana Market & Catering one of New York City’s top caterers. Indiana, named Best Value/Dinner Caterer in New York Magazine and known for its innovative American cooking, high standards and excellent service, has been responsible for organizing thousands of events throughout New York City. Some of Indiana’s clients include such prestigious names as Lincoln Center, New York Public Library, The Walt Disney Corp, Intel, Time Warner, Lexus, AOL, American Express, and The Sony Corp.

Turk graduated from the University of Rochester in 1977 and immediately pursued a career in food service. He worked with a number of caterers throughout New York City, and from 1981-1983 attended the NYC Technical College for Hotel & Restaurant Management.

David Turk was born in New Rochelle, New York in 1955, and is married to Art Director Rosemarie Turk. The couple lives in New York City with their two children, Dylan and Sophie.

Lecture Series

David has lectured around the country on the art of customer service and the business of catering. His hosts have included the American Institute of Wine and Food, NYU, Society for Women in Foodservice, NY State Restaurant Association, James Beard House, The New School, The New York Restaurant School, Catersource, The Institute of Culinary Education, The Learning Annex, The Special Event, Bill Hansen’s Catering Camp, and The Fancy Food Show.

Community Service

Outside the world of catering, Mr. Turk has always found time to give back to his community. His contributions include serving on the Board of Directors of AIWF’s Days of Taste program, producing programs that benefit God's Love We Deliver and continually giving of his time and services to various organizations throughout New York City.
